Richard Townhill is Cisco’s Senior Director of Product Management in the Cloud Collaboration Technology Group (CCTG) at Cisco. Townhill is responsible for the product management of Cisco’s cloud-based collaboration portfolio including Cisco’s flagship platform, Cisco Spark, as well as WebEx and Jabber. In this role, Townhill sets product priorities and roadmaps, provides competitive analysis, builds pricing and commercial offers, and ensures that Cisco’s collaboration products are represented with the media and at industry events.
Before joining Cisco, Townhill led the applications product marketing team at Apple responsible for their creative applications including iPhoto, iMovie, Garageband, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. Additional experience includes Group Product Manager at Adobe Systems where he had central responsibility for Adobe’s dynamic media products including Premiere and After Effects.
Townhill holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Lincoln, United Kingdom. He also holds a patent in displaying a Video and audio waveform in a user interface.
